Villa v v Leeds League Cup final 1996
What was the weekend like? Where did you go stay and after the game/

watched it with my family.. sitting next to my leeds fan dad :dance:

Was there. Was very pissed. Can remember nothing. :!:

No ticket, still got in by giving bloke on turnstile £20, and was very,very, drunk ended up staying on some bench somewhere in London and came back the next day :nod: QUALITY

I remember being locked in a pub full of Leeds supporters because it was all kicking off outside and the Leeds supporters inside the pub were just great ... bought us loads of drinks. I then remember going to my seat and thinking how nice everyone was standing up for me ... only to realise they were playing the National Anthem.

Oh fucking hell, stay with me a minute while I recall this day Caught the train early and arrived at Euston at about 10:30, this was a time when the pubs didn't open until 12:00, so, we found a shop that sold booze, we all brought 4 cans of Tennets super and decided to walk around the area for a little while, there was a small police escort come rushing past us with Norman Lamont being escorted....anyway I digress Eventually a pub in the Euston area opened up and me and my 2 mates went it, we then spent the next 3 hours or so playing pool and drinking beer at a fast rate of knots, at one point the pub was almost full of Leeds fans, we were the only Villa fans in there, the Leeds lads were fucking top notch enjoying the banter and all that, no nastiness that was associated with Leeds fans. Eventually we leave the pub and get the train to Wembley, on the train we were in a carriage full of Leeds fans, we were singing, they were singing and the banter was superb, we came off the train only to be met by a load of coppers expecting trouble, yet we were actually singing with the Leeds and shaking hands wishing them well for the game yadda yadda yada In the ground th bloke on the pitch was trying to get both sets of fans wound up for the game, all I could hear was Villa, it made me so proud to be there, the game gets under way, and from no where Savo scored a wonder goal, everyone was jumping around, there was a bloke in front of us on the floor getting jumped on, when he got up he had the imprint of a Nike trainer on his forehead, he was that pissed he didn't feel a thing, then we scored twice more.......one of my grea-*test*-('") days as a villa fan :D :D :D The journey home was fantsatic, I lost my voice we ended up at the pub in the airport at Birmingham and was asked to leave because we were being too loud :hehe: :hehe:
