50 years ago this week, we beat Manchester United 2 - 1, both Villa goals coming from Peter McParland. Aston Villa captain Johnny Dixon with the FA cup on that day. McParland scores

great memories for the older generations of villa fans :nod: a crackin achivement. is it just me, or do all old footballers of that era look about 50?

They had hard lives :o I just about remember that game, we had to go to the pictures to see the news reel show 30 second highlights, no TV, I dunno if it was on the radio. That's fucking sad to admit too :haha:

cant remember that, but sad we aint won it in 50yrs tho... also its the EMPIRE STADIUM @ Wembley on the programme!!!
